CVLCC High School must complete a minimum of 100 hours of COMMUNITY SERVICE as a graduation requirement.
At CVLCC, "community" is a part of our name and community engagement is one of our pillar! We have a commitment to our community and our students contribute to it with their unique gifts. In helping others, they develop leadership skills, expand their global perspectives, deepen empathy and understanding, and realize the impact they can have on creating a better world.
We believe that students benefit greatly both academically and personally from volunteering their time to make the community and world a better place.
Through involving themselves in the surrounding communities and being of service, students:
- develop an enriched perspective of the world
- have the opportunity to apply what they are learning in class to real world situations
- build their college resume
